A big part of preparation is knowing what to bring on the retreat. Here are 5 must-haves for your yoga retreat:
- Yoga clothes. If you’re new to yoga, then don’t underestimate the importance of bringing loose-fitting clothes. Trying to do yoga in tight pants is a nightmare.
- A yoga mat. The retreat center will probably provide you with one, but bringing your own can provide a great deal of comfort.
- A towel. You might not want to think about it now, but you’re probably going to get sweaty — especially if your retreat is somewhere hot. Bring a towel so that you don’t get stuck dripping sweat during the middle of a sun salutation.
- A journal. Most people go to yoga retreats to learn and grow. Bringing a journal can be the easiest way to record some of your insights.
- Sun gear. If your retreat is in a sunny area and taking place outside, make sure to pack sunscreen and sunglasses so that you don’t get caught squinty and sunburnt!
